Mickey Perez attended MacArthur High School in San Antonio where he was a two-time First Team All-City Selection. As a senior at MacArthur, Mickey was named to the ALL-STATE team where he represented the South All-Stars at the Houston Astrodome. Following his high school career Mickey was a four-year starter for the UTSA ROADRUNNERS. Mickey helped lead UTSA to their first ever appearance in the NCAA tournament. After 21 years Mickey still holds the career record for stolen bases and triples at UTSA. Following his senior year Mickey was drafted in the 1995 MLB draft by the CHICAGO CUBS and played two years of minor league baseball before returning to UTSA to earn his degree in Kinesiology.
Mickey has worked in Medical Device Sales for almost twenty years. He is a proud resident of Boerne where he resides with his wife Cara, and his sons, Dylan (9) and Jake Mickey (8). He enjoys playing golf, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. Ultimately, he enjoys giving back to the game that has given him so much.
